COVID-19

At Lifeline Queensland, our priority is the health and safety of our team members, volunteers and the people in our community, and we will continue to take the advice from Queensland Health and Australian Government officials.

Our Lifeline 13 11 14 Crisis Line remains open 24/7 to support Queenslanders in crisis. Through COVID-19, we’re here for you.

Visit the Queensland Government's website for the most up to date information on Queensland's restrictions, including what you can do and what services are open or restricted.

Lifeline shops - Opening hours

As the public health situation across Queensland continues to evolve, some of our Lifeline shops have been impacted.

Opening hours for your local Lifeline shop may need to change due to COVID-19 impacts. Before visiting to shop or donate, we kindly ask you to call your local shop to check their current opening hours.

Remember, you can also browse and shop online at Lifeline’s online shop.

Our dedicated staff are continuing to work hard across the state to provide outstanding service during these challenging times.

Thank you so much for your support, patience and understanding.

Lifeline Shops COVID-19 Safe Plan

We are committed to the safety of our employees, volunteers and customers and follow the most up-to-date advice from Queensland Health. We have implemented a number of social distancing measures to ensure the health and safety for everyone entering our stores.

Each Lifeline store has a COVID-19 Safe Plan in place which includes:

  • Wearing a mask.
  • Limiting the number of customers inside our store.
  • Closing alternate fitting rooms where there are multiple rooms in close proximity.
  • Limiting the number of customers allowed in the changing area at a time so that physical distancing requirements can be met.
  • Providing staff and volunteers with appropriate PPE.
  • Ensuring contactless transactions take place for donations and payments.

Please note we prefer cashless payments to ensure contactless transactions.

Thank you for your understanding and we appreciate your support during this time.

Donations

Please follow the COVID-19 safety measures above when donating in store. If you have requested a furniture pickup, we will take the required precautions, including effective hand hygiene practice, gloves and social distancing measures, in order to keep everyone safe. Please note that we cannot collect items if you or anyone at the premises have recently returned from overseas, is in self-isolation due to or has tested positive for COVID-19, or is unwell with fever, cough or sore throat.

Events

As we slowly bring our events back in line with government guidelines, we will implement COVID-19 safety measures, which may include:

  • Please remember stay home if you have any cold/flu-like symptoms, headache or temperature, have visited any venues or hotspots listed by Queensland Health, or are waiting on COVID results.
  • Wear a mask.
  • Check in on arrival using the Queensland Government’s Check In Qld app (where applicable).
  • Use cards to pay (where applicable).
  • Practise social distancing (consider bringing a mask for when this is not possible).
  • Clean hands often with soap and water or sanitiser.
  • Please understand that the wellbeing and safety of the community, our volunteers and our staff is of utmost priority. If there is a COVID-19 outbreak, we will follow health advice and let you know of any cancellations or postponements as soon as possible.
